David Beckham has hit the spotlights again in the International transfer market. The 33-year-old will be loaned to AC Milan in January in an attempt to remain in shape during the MLS break. The English superstar wants to convince Fabio Capello that he can still play an important role in England’s national team.

As the Italian coach clearly announced that he will field only players that are active and playing for their clubs, Beckham’s capping was endangered. La Galaxy’s right midfielder has agreed to switch to Serie A and join prestigious AC Milan.

Adriano Galliani, Milan’s vice-president, and coach, Carlo Ancelotti, seemed delighted about the idea of David Beckham’s AC Milan loan. Beckham will hookup there with other major football stars like Brazilians Kaka, Ronaldinho and youngster Pato. His famous crosses will look for Shevchenko and the opportunist Pipo Inzaghi in an attempt to make the Rossoneri Serie A champions once again.

David will have to be satisfied only with playing in the UEFA Cup, this of course, if AC Milan will manage to pass the group stage. It will be shocking for them no to do it, but football is unpredictable.

“Our squad is ultra-competitive and it will remain this way but Beckham is something different and intriguing.” Adriano Galliani

“For me it will be a pleasure. Beckham is a serious athlete, a great professional.” Carlo Ancelotti
