Juventus 4 - 1 Genoa

Juventus joined Inter at the top of Serie A with a comfortable 4-1 win against Genoa. Claudio Ranieri's side have put a sluggish start to the domestic campaign behind them to record seven consecutive wins.

Zdenek Grygera opened the scoring in the sixth minute from a tight angle before turning provider for Amauri's headed goal 20 minutes later. Vincenzo Laquinta added a third in the 85th minute, but Genoa pulled one back from the penalty spot through Serie A's top scorer Diego Milito after Nicola Legrottaglie handled in the area. Juve were soon three goals clear again when Sokratis Papastathopoulos diverted Mauro Camoranesi's cross into his own net in stoppage time.

This game had been brought forward to Thursday evening as the Stadio Olimpico is booked for a rugby international at the weekend. Inter lead Juventus on goal difference and they will meet at the San Siro in just over a week.
