Manchester United star Carlos Tevez is on Real Madrid’s shopping list for the transfer window - as a replacement for injured Ruud van Nistelrooy.

The Spanish giants are expected to launch an aggressive bid for the Argentine hitman in January, once they get news on former United ace van Nistelrooy’s knee problems. Madrid fear the Dutch striker will be sidelined for months as they fly him to the US to see top specialist Richard Steadman. Real are looking for solutions to that problem and Tevez has emerged as a top choice, despite the fact he would not be eligible to play for the Spaniards in the Champions League.

Tevez’s camp know of the interest and, if Real want to buy in January, it will pose a major crisis for United who are only ‘renting’ the South American star. The Old Trafford side would not want the disruption of losing Tevez, but having paid £10million to the player’s ‘owners’, MSI, to loan him for two years, they do not appear in a rush to pay the cash to make the deal permanent - which could cost as much as £25m.

The dilemma could become a huge headache in the next few weeks, with Real quite happy to upset United after the Cristiano Ronaldo affair - and Tevez’s team rubbing their hands at the prospect of a tug-of-war between the two clubs. Tevez, 24, has been unhappy with the way he has often been odd-man-out this season, showing the first signs of discontent when he shook his head after being subbed against Celtic last week. Mirror

A source close to Tevez revealed: "Carlos would prefer to stay at United, but the interest from Real is genuine - and there are other clubs interested, too."

    Hello,
of course when Real Madrid has bad results, many names appears in medias, but I think the priority must be a right winger.
